My experience with Burlington Coat Factory is fair because at times I enjoy working with the colleagues and I enjoy working on the floor where I am assigned projects to organize the Home/Linen department. The only issue is the inconsistent hours and schedule.

I would like to see changed in communication at my workplace. I feel the entire community and environment there can be positively impacted by increased communication.

Working at Burlington has been easy. Boxes would be taken from the truck and I would unpackaged these boxes and sort out the items. Male, women, and kids clothes would be sorted in three bins. If a item was expensive it would normally need a tag, so I would be the one to tag it.

After earning a degree in Fashion Merchandising I thought being an assistant buyer at this company would be a dream. Unfortunately I work extremely long hours with my lunch "break" consisting of one hand on the computer mouse and another on a fork with cup of noodles on it. This reality has caused me to fall into depression of my current work life balance. I do not have time to go to the gym or even make dinner when it's expected to work from the minute you get up to the moment you go to bed (12am). This has caused me to spiral mentally and it has affected relationships with family and friends for not being able to have time for them.

My overall experience working at Burlington Coat Factory was educational. As my first job, I was able to learn new things within the company whether it be the tasks I fulfilled or the people I took care of.

The management can be greatly improved on. Hours are scarce and are constantly being altered (given and taken away). However it typically is not affected by the individual store owner, but corporate itself. The relationships and friendships I have made however have been top-tier.

I began working at Burlington six months ago in July 2023. I began as a receiving associate and was quickly promoted to Lead Receiving Associate, and now I am the Receiving Supervisor. I love the people I work with and I enjoy waking up to go to work each morning. There is room for growth at Burlington. I am challenged and praised for overcoming obstacles that are above and beyond my job duties. I am willing to work extra and help in other departments because I am appreciated. I would recommend other people to work at Burlington. They are a diverse and welcoming company. They promote equality and diversity and hire people from all walks of life. I love Burlington.

Retail environments like Burlington are often fast-paced, which can keep you engaged and make the workday go by quickly. This dynamic atmosphere can be exciting and provide opportunities for personal growth and learning.

My experience with this company has been really positive. While management may be stressed from time to time, they keep up a professional composure that's really admirable. This company has been really flexible for me as I'm a full-time college student and I'm not handed long hours so I can focus on my studies.

I have loved my job at Burlington so far. The only major complaint I have is a lack of movement within the company. Building technical experience at the lower level positions is difficult and there seems to not be clear pathways up the branch.

Coming into this position with no retail experience, I was able to grasp the concept after only an hour and half of verbal training on my first day. Thankfully, everyone was helpful and around; when I need a reminder of anything for the remaining seven and a half hours shift. The most satisfying aspects was being told about the great feedback from customers on my first day! It was my pleasure to make sure my customers had a great experience. Burlington Coat Factory was a wonderful place to work at if you wanted a full time job. I already had a full time job, their part time hours were long. It was a great job but it is hard to move up in the company. You first have to apply and speak with management and wait for them to make an assessment about your abilities. Pay could be better especially for someone with experience or who is a fast learner. They had me at part time but kept calling me in to cover people’s shifts.

I only worked here for a few months, but I could tell it wasn't the right place for me. It's a great first job for people to gain experience, but there is no room to grow, and we typically get paid the same as the supervisors.

The cashiers only get 1 or 2 days to work each week, and while we are there there is no help 75% of the time. But the pay in decent

I had an overall good experience at the company. I worked during the holidays so it was extremely busy but I still enjoyed my time there.

I like it it’s a good place for growth in a company. It has taught me many new skills for my future. This includes multitasking, customer service, and handing difficult situations. Working here and going to college at the same time has taught me how to balance doing both. I moved up to a supervisor position and have been working here for 3 years now. It was my first retail job and have been with the company since I got out of high school in 2018. The management team is great. My manager works well with my school schedule which is important as a college student. I have had to train employees on the register and how to take care of the sales floor. I am consistently helping others with problems that may arise with customers and any other questions when they get stuck and don’t know what to do. I help do projects like re doing the checkout line to ensure it is easy for customers to shop. I like to may sure customers have easy access to merchandise. I do this by organizing products.

While I like being a cashier and I like the people I work with, it is not a place I can stay in order to make a living wage. Most coworkers are unmotivated and do the bare minimum of work. If there were more chances for a good wage I would definitley stay.

Management is undeniably the woorst. Associates are immature. There’s a lot more, but overall I would 4/10 recommend working at a burlington.

nice place to shop, good deals..but not to work. they will try to call you in on all of your off days ( side note: just don’t answer). they are always having markdowns and low prices on things. like a mini walmart for clothes and house stuff.
